How old is that photograph?
Date an old photograph to help fit a photo into the family tree (Roger Vaughan Picture Library).Dating Photos
Most old photos can be dated with reasonable certainty to within a period of ten years. In some cases they can of course be dated to the exact day, if someone has bothered to record that information on the photo! Sadly almost all 19th century family portraits in albums are unidentified and undated! So in most cases a little detective work must be done.
