FFHS is an international organization, established in 1974 in the UK as a non-profit charitable company. It is conducting the transcription and computerization of Burial records mainly by members of the Federation of Family History Societies throughout Britain. Deaths in Yorkshire Newspapers
Transcription by Jeff Knaggs of selected of newspapers covering the entire county published in the first three months of 1901. Beginning with lists of people who had died just before the 1901 census. In the second phase of the project, Jeff is extending the date range forward and back, selecting the most useful newspapers first. This is an open-ended project that will continue, quite slowly, over the coming years.
