Parish Registers

We have been granted permission by many local C of E Vicars to index their Parish Registers. However, this, as you can imagine will take many years to do……Indexing will be either from fiche or CD but the CD material is rare. This material will be loaned to us by the LDS.

The information contained in the Baptism index is as follows: surname, forename, date of baptism, father, mother, abode, occupation, date of birth, register number, name of minister, name of Church, area.

The information contained in the Marriage index is as follows: surname, forename, date of marriage, name of spouse, status, occupation, address, father's full name, register number, name of minister, banns or license, name of Church, area.

Indexing is ongoing and the databases will grow over time. Do not hesitate to post a message on the forum if you do not see the names you are searching for.
